What to expect
This is a grooming experience, not a five-minute trim. You get the cut, a straight-razor neckline, a hot-towel shave, and a head, neck and shoulder massage to finish. The whole thing runs close to an hour and you leave feeling like you actually took care of yourself.
The barbers here are properly trained in the Korean style, so they think about your hairline and face shape rather than just copying a photo. If your Vietnamese is shaky, do not worry, a lot of the staff handle Korean and basic English fine, and they are patient with first-timers.
The space and service
The shop is small and tidy, maybe four or five chairs, with that quiet, clean feel you want from a barbershop. Leather chairs, warm lighting, fresh towels, and none of the loud TV noise you get in busier places. It feels more like a calm grooming studio than a chop shop.
Service is where it shines. Nobody hurries you out, the hot towel actually stays hot, and the head massage at the end is genuinely good. I have come in stressed and walked out half asleep and looking sharp.
Location & getting there
Angel Barbershop sits right in the Phu My Hung area of District 7, surrounded by the Korean restaurants and cafes that make this neighborhood feel like a little Seoul. If you are staying anywhere in Phu My Hung it is an easy walk; from District 1 a Grab car runs about twenty-five to thirty minutes depending on traffic. Save the pin before you set off, since the side streets here all look alike.
