Uptown is the spot I end up at when the night starts at the beach and nobody wants to travel far. It's right around My Khe, so after a few drinks by the water you can just stroll over and keep things going. I've had some of my favorite Da Nang nights here, the kind where a small dinner crew turns into a packed room and everybody fights over the mic.
This isn't AI. I'm based in Vietnam and write these from real visits — I check out each place myself.
What it's like
Uptown's biggest draw is just how convenient it is to the beach scene. You're already out near My Khe, the night's going well, and there it is, ready to soak up the energy. The mood inside is relaxed and social, full of people in a good mood who came to sing rather than impress anyone.
It's an unpretentious place, and that's exactly why I like it. Staff are friendly and quick, the drinks keep flowing, and the song system is simple enough that you're not stuck squinting at a remote. It's a low-effort, high-fun way to round out a beach night.
Rooms, sound & vibe
The rooms are comfortable and come in enough sizes to handle anything from a quiet four-person session to a loud full-group blowout. Screens are clear, seating is roomy, and the catalog has solid coverage of K-pop, Vietnamese hits, and English standards.
Sound is loud and lively without turning to mush. The system has plenty of punch for a crowd singing along at full volume, and the mics survive plenty of enthusiastic abuse. It leans into the party energy, which fits the beach-night crowd perfectly.
Location & getting there
Uptown is right by My Khe Beach, so it's a short walk from the beachfront hotels and the seafood restaurants along that stretch. If you're coming from downtown or Korean town, a Grab across the bridge takes only a few minutes and barely costs anything.
